March 26 & 27 Main Street Hardy Annual Gun & Knife Show

You’ll be able to buy, sell or trade new guns, old guns, memorabilia and more during Main Street Hardy’s big annual Spring Gun and Knife Show Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27 in the Hardy Gym Community Center. This is a good time to see not only the newest guns and knives available but also old guns, Civil War memorabilia, decoys and calls. Knives of all shapes and sizes will be for sale and knife sharpening will also be offered. Food vendors will be on hand both days for refreshments.The show, sponsored by Main Street Hardy and the City of Hardy, will be held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 26 and from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 27. The Hardy Gym Community Center is located at 203 School Street. Admission is $3.00 for adults. Children under 12 years old are free but must be accompanied by an adult. Dealers and private sales are welcome.

April 16 & 17 23st Annual Old Hardy Town Arts & Crafts Festival
There will be plenty of arts & crafts, food, music and fun for the whole family as the Old Hardy Town 23rd Annual Spring Arts & Crafts Festival gets into full swing Saturday, April 16th and Sunday, April 17th in Hardy, Arkansas. The festival is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday. This is a juried show, which ensures the public of merchandise that meets set standards.
Vendors from as far away as Maryland, Florida, and seven other states make the Old Hardy Town Arts & Crafts Festival an event that annually attracts over 14,000 people to this small resort town of only 600 in population on the beautiful Spring River. The Festival includes over 130 craft vendors showing a large variety of handmade crafts, including wooden items, jewelry, clothing, candles, salsas, florals, dolls, holiday items, and many other unique crafts.
In addition, a variety of food vendors will be serving up such unique taste treats as alligator on a stick, kettle korn, Ozark BBQ, deep fried twinkies and onion blossoms; as well as the traditional favorites of ice cream, roasted nuts, fresh lemonade, and more.
Family fun and musical entertainment will be provided at different points throughout the festival area for kids, including moonwalking, a petting zoo, face painting and more. Free music performances will be located along Main Street.
The festival will take place along Main Street Hardy, restored to the quaint beauty of a past century, and in the Hardy Gym Community Center. There is plenty of free parking one block off Main Street and within five blocks of the Festival. The festival and the over 75 specialty shops that comprise the National Register Historic District in Hardy are all located within the five block downtown area.

May 13 -15 Spring River Motorcycle Rally
Welcome to the second annual Spring River Motorcycle Rally, an open rally located in beautiful Loberg Recreational Park, in Hardy on the banks of the Spring River. Blues, rock and country music concert, featuring, Gerry Moss, Throttle and others, free to paid entrants. Rally bike parade, poker run, swap meet, food and retail vendors, 50/50 drawing, free camping, downtown Hardy historic district shopping, canoe floats available. Clean, safe family fun.
Applications for vendors are now being accepted. If you have motorcycle related items to sale – leather goods, clothing, jewelry, body art, motorcycle accessories and parts, this is for you! June 18 Main Street Hardy 5th Annual Great Ozark Duck Race/Hillbilly Olympics/Fun Run & Pet Parade
Duck Race. Adopt a duck for $1 and watch it race 1/2 mile on the Spring River. Ducks may be adopted at the Main Street office, 203 School St. or mail checks (anytime before race) to: Main Street Hardy, P.O. Box 668, Hardy, AR 72542. 1-5 place winners.
Hardy Hillbilly Olympics: This for fun event is also part of the Great Ozark Duck Race. Contestants compete for medals in funny events such as; stump jumpin', hubcap hurlin', high heel runnin'and toilet seat tossin'. New this year sack racin'! Fun Run: Kids ages 5-14 can compete in the Fun Run, from the start line on the walking track to the big pavilion, race will be divided into age groups and awards given far first place in each age division.
Pet Parade: Dress your pet in his or her best and compete for awards such as; best dressed, biggest, smallest, most colored coat, and best pet trick, all free, all fun.

November 26 - December 3 (tentative) Best Decorated Shop Lighting Contest
During the busiest shopping week of the year (the week immediately following Thanksgiving), historic district Shops in downtown Hardy will be beautifully lighted and decorated for the season, each trying to win the "Best Decorated Shop in Hardy" contest. Voting will take place in downtown Thompson Park, on parade day, in Hardy. Voting and free hot chocolate and cookies at Thompson Park. Come see the lights, enjoy the Hardy Christmas parade, do some Christmas shopping, all in "Hardy, Like No Other Town In The Ozarks!
