At the RIVERVIEW COMPOUND there are four seperate rentals: The Lodge, the Manoir, the Chateau Suite and the Wine Cellar. If you are looking for that unique cabin or special lodging for a family vacation, reunion or retreat; to spend a honeymoon, anniversary or a romantic getaway; or the perfect base for fishing or canoeing / rafting (two outfitters will pick you up here at the Compound) these nightly / weekly rentals may be the perfect place for you. The vacation rentals at the Riverview Compound are steps from a private access to the river and very close to (walking distance) the Bufford Beach Park with swimming, play and picnic areas and a boat launch. Within minutes of the Riverview Compound on the Spring River you will find Historic Hardy, a step back in time, with antique and specialty shops, craft stores and gift nooks. The compound sits on a rocky hillside over looking the Spring River and the "falls" at one of the most lovely spots on the entire river. At the bottom of the hill, at the entrance to the compound, is an old stone garage or possibly a dry boat house. It sits right on the road and is the entry point up a small hill into the compound. At the top of the driveway you will find the double iron gates and the large "Angel of the River" statue that overlooks the river below and welcomes you into the property. The compound consists of three homes built in the late 1920's and early 1930's. Also on the grounds are buildings that were a former "bunkhouse" and a bath house.
